Showcasing a black-stained beechwood body with contrasting white accents, the chair's seat is crafted from multi-plywood painted in a rich green lacquer. Finished with leather seat and backrest cushions in the same green hue, this limited edition chair would enhance any décor. One of the central characters of the de Stijl artistic movement, architect and furniture designer Gerrit Thomas Rietveld is most renowned for creating the original Red and Blue Chair early in his career. Rietveld went on to design iconic buildings such as the Schröder House in Utrecht and exhibit at the Bauhaus after receiving a personal invitation from Walter Gropius.
